Joseph W. Hance, M.D., P.C.

Joseph W. Hance, M.D. is the senior practicing orthopaedic surgeon in Petoskey, Cheboygan, and Charlevoix. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1977 and completed his internship and a four year orthopaedic residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Hance is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Hance practices general orthopaedic surgery with special interests in joint replacements, arthroscopy, and rotator cuff repair of the shoulder. Dr. Hance is on active staff at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, and Charlevoix Area Hospital in Charlevoix.


Steven E. Vorenkamp, M.D., P.C.

Steven E. Vorenkamp, M.D. practices general orthopaedic surgery with special interests in hand surgery, joint replacements, and sports medicine.

After graduating from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1978, Dr. Vorenkamp completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Bronson and Borgess Hospitals in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Vorenkamp is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society where he been a member of the committee on sports medicine.

Dr. Vorenkamp enjoys cross-country skiing, biking, hockey, and soccer. His love of soccer has led him to be instrumental in the growth of soccer in the Petoskey area, coaching numerous travel soccer teams and , along with his wife, organizing and running the Petoskey Invitational Soccer Tournament.

Dr. Vorenkamp and his wife, Connie, have four children who have also been active in local sports.

Dr. Vorenkamp is on active staff at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, and Charlevoix Area Hospital in Charlevoix.


Mark R. McMurray, M.D., P.C.

Mark R. McMurray, M.D. graduated from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University in 1984. He did his internship at Bronson and Borgess Hospitals, and his orthopaedic residency at McLaren General Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Dr. McMurray is Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. McMurray has a special interest in joint replacements, knee surgery, and surgery of the foot and ankle. He is on staff at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, and Charlevoix Area Hospital in Charlevoix.

Dr. McMurray is married with three children. He and his wife are active in the schools where they both volunteer and teach classes. Dr. McMurray enjoys skiing, sailing, and hunting in his spare time.


Brian D. Wittenberg, M.D., P.C.

Brian D. Wittenberg, M.D. practices general orthopaedic surgery with a special interest in joint replacements, sports medicine, surgery of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Wittenberg completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan before going on to the University of Michigan Medical School. Upon graduation in 1989, Dr. Wittenberg, completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Wittenberg is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is on active staff at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, and Charlevoix Area Hospital in Charlevoix.

Dr. Wittenberg is married and has two children. He enjoys softball, running, biking, and woodworking.


Ronald A. Ronquist., M.D., P.C.

Ronald A. Ronquist, M.D. is a native of Sault Ste. Marie who returned to northern Michigan after practicing at the Naval Hospitals in Bremerton, Washington and Okinawa, Japan. He is on active staff at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, and Charlevoix Area Hospital in Charlevoix.

Dr. Ronquist graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1987. He did his internship and orthopaedic residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Ronquist is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the Michigan State Medical Society.

Dr. Ronquist practices general orthopaedics with special interests in fracture care, sports medicine, joint replacements, carpal tunnel syndrome, and arthroscopy. In his spare time, Dr. Ronquist enjoys outdoor activities with his family, mountain biking, tennis, skiing, good books and music. He and his wife, Maureen, have three children.


Alfred J. Wroblewski, M.D., P.C.

Alfred J. Wrobleweski, M. D. specializes in a variety of surgical techniques and treatments for the hand, shoulder and elbow. Dr. Wroblewski is trained in the techniques of endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery, arthritis hand surgery and microscopic repair and reconstruction surgery for crippling hand disorders due to disease, birth defects and trauma. His work also extends to the practice of general orthopaedics.

Dr. Wroblewski graduated number one in his class from the University of Detroit and earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at Rhode Island Hospital, an affiliate of Brown University. Subsequently he completed his orthopaedic residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, including a rotation in pediatrics orthopaedics at Shriners Hospital Tampa Units and a fellowship in hand surgery at the State University of New York in Syracuse.

Dr. Wroblewski has given numerous lectures and presentations on hand surgery and reconstruction. Dr. Wroblewski moved to northern Michigan in 1997 with his wife Kimberly, and two sons, Kevin and John. He enjoys fishing, windsurfing, woodworking and skiing.


Daniel K. Wilcox, MD

Daniel K. Wilcox, MD practices general orthopaedic surgery with special interests in trauma, fracture care, sports medicine, arthroscopy, and joint replacement.

Dr. Wilcox completed his undergraduate studies at Albion College, followed by medical school at the University of Michigan. His internship and residency were completed in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Blodgett and Butterworth Hospitals (now merged as Spectrum Health), along with St. Mary’s Mercy Medical Center. He is board certified and on active staff at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan, and Charlevoix Area Hospital.

In his spare time, Dr. Wilcox enjoys fast-pitch softball, basketball, skiing, sailing, and mountain biking, and spending time with his wife, Joelle, their son, Sam, and two daughters, Evelyn and Annabel.
